Our Seasoned Logs
The firewood you use must have the right moisture content for it to give a quality and long-lasting burn. At West Wycombe Firewood Logs, our seasoned logs have been stored for over 12 months and up to two years, which makes them of low moisture. This results in firewood that burns easily and is more environmentally friendly.
Kiln Dried Logs
Our kiln dried logs are ideal to use on open fires, wood burning stoves and more. Kiln dried logs are simply firewood that has been placed in a kiln or another source of heat in order to remove the moisture. Kiln dried logs are easier to light and burn producing more heat. You can always expect a clean burn from our kiln dried logs. Try for yourself!
Our Procedures:
- We cut our wood when the Sap is low during the winter months
- The wood is then stacked on a south facing bank through the summer
- We then cut, split and transport the wood to dry air barns on our farm
- Final result is a 'Grade A' Dry Firewood ready for distribution
- All wood harvested here in the Chilterns from certified sustainable woodlands!
